May 15, 2021 - Sheng Ye Capital (“SY Capital”; HK Stock Code: 6069), China’s first commercial factoring company listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, today announced that it participated in the EGG Walkathon in Shanghai on May 15th. The EGG Walkathon is an annual charity hike initiated by the Shanghai United Foundation (“SUF”) in 2011 to raise funds for grassroots NGO programs that aim to provide equal growth opportunities for underprivileged children aged 0-18. The event was held for the first time since 2019 due to the outbreak of the CODVID-19 pandemic, which also marked the first large-scale charity event in 2021 in the city. Inspired by the theme of “Love is Always There,” 12 hikers and logistics staff from theBeam Team(盛業光小分隊), which is SY Capital’s volunteer team, participated in this year’s event. The team successfully completed the 50-kilometer walk and raised approximately RMB30,000.
Participants of the EGG Walkathon were challenged to walk 50 kilometers within 12 hours and raised funds from their friends and families to complete the arduous trek.
This year’s walkathon started at the Shanghai Pudong Exhibition Hall and ran past Crystal Plaza, the south square of the Modern Art Museum, Kerry Parkside and others. On the day of the race, it was particularly boisterous in front of the Shanghai Pudong Exhibition Hall, where teams of participants, including the Beam Team, gathered and got ready for the race. This was the fifth year that SY Capital participated in the EGG Walkathon. Each member of the Beam Team personally signed up for the charity walk out of their love and support for this great public cause.

Since its launch in 2011, the EGG Walkathon has raised over RMB74 million for more than 780,000 underprivileged children aged 0 to 18 across the nation. Given the relatively large number of underprivileged children who encounter various challenges, more help is needed from loving hands. This year, SY Capital worked with SUF and participated in the EGG Walkathon to provide support for children from poor families in the central and western regions of China. These children often were deprived of proper medical resources and family care, which impacted their upbringing, in the hope that more children can benefit from the program.
SY Capital debuted its “SY Shine” charity program this year. The name reflects the Company’s desire to spread warmth and generosity. The EGG Walkathon was the first event in which “SY Shine” officially participated. Going forward, SY Capital will continue to take actions to fulfill its social responsibility.
